FINALLY FINISHED LESSON 6

I've been taking a basic CQ class on STITCHMAP.  I've fallen behind, but over the holiday weekend I caught up.  The class has us making a thread holder, a pin cushion and a needle holder.  The thread holder was focused on seam treatments and embroidered motifs.  The pin cushion will focus on beading, and the needle holder on SRE.

This is the thread holder.  I made the spider web with DMC metalic floss- that stuff is hard to work with.  The button cluster again showcases my love for the bright and shiney .  I will probably add some beading when I complete the beading lesson.

  1. Beautiful! Glad you found time to work on it. Finding time is hard. My DH said for weeks all I did was work and come home and stitch. :)

  4. I love the balance you are getting in this block. Your colors are awesome and your dragonfly is cool. Like Ann, I think you placed your spider web roses in a nice spot. I will be anxious to see just a bit more beading after you do the next lesson, too. Good job!

  5. This is lovely! I have not seen work like this since I went to Brooks College in 1980! I look forward to browsing your web site more! My favorite work I did years ago was a mushroom scenery made of crewel work.
